How does admin respond to the “a post-Marxist living in Shanghai” appellation?

    admin Reply:

“Living in Shanghai” is fairly clear (and accurate). “Post-Marxist” is somewhat hazier. (I don’t think it’s coming from people who know anything about either Shanghai or Marx.)

    Mark Warburton Reply:

Was “living ‘is’ Shanghai” a typo or a shiny new slogan? 🙂

on “Our Areas of Research Interest”

huge scope of research, little of direction and weak on justification. why not just to focus on two key questions: Collapse and Reboot. at present seems like there is even no consensus on these two. Collapse is now that is for sure. Let say that Reboot is possible, then perhaps one of the objective of NRx may be in exactly explaining how it will be possible. How else you can be better 10X. knowing exactly where starting point for reboot will be, that is what alone can make you better 10X.

“The current trajectory of society is based on the current flawed public understanding of these areas; if we can correct for this flawed understanding for ourselves and our communities and our institutions, then we can do better.”

What is it ? SJW entryism? who cares about “public understanding” and NO current trajectory of society is not based on it. It is based on very sophisticated systemic manipulations on the world scale.

Theres not going to be any collapse is the real problem, and really soon any possibility of reboot by force will finished. If DENRX had any specific Ideas about what might work better besides dungeons and dragons I would suggest we meet off line and plot a coupe but they cant answer the most basic of questions let alone resolve the numerous philosophical conflicts within. Here watch me ask ask for the 20th time a really simple question listen for crickets.
How would reactionary patriarchy specifically differ from all previous patriarchies?

This question of what to do with 52% of the population they will have no answer for but if we searched for reactionary articles about monarchy we could read for a week. They are equally enamored of Christianity pretending their version can be contained while not a radical athiest and even a nostalgic catholic this is clearly insane, but like conservatives they can not bring themselves to jettison these “natural conservatives” And like earlier conservatives [and empires] they will destroyed by Christian Ideology being turned on them while being ridiculed for their inconsistent application of reason,Just like the Enlightenment was pwnd. The state they desire already exists its the Cathedral problem is they dont run it. I have my doubts if they did they would be able to maintain it reactionary as they have no stomach for violence.
Mold bug was able to do what most conservatives never were, convince liberals they were wrong through reason. There was much statistical analysis done in support but being nerds they focused on the things that would signal most their secret superiority, rather than on what has always worked what can only ever ultimately work, force. Being nerds they could wield a virulent type of non physical force if we could just get them to stop the -I think the term is Larping. Maybe they really do need a King who could give them little titles that would send shivers up their skinny white legs.

    This is very simple.

Look at what they wrote under “Abstract Social Science” — and then compare it to your “Collapse” and “Reboot.” They’re way ahead of you.

Look at what they wrote about “public understanding” — and them compare it to what Moldbug wrote about the Antiversity. It is important to make truth available to all who would seek it; especially when the truth is hard, unpopular, cannot be discussed in polite company, etc.

…To me it seems as though they’re just being pragmatic, in that they’re not setting impossible goals for themselves. Ambitious, too, of course, but it’s not like they’re working on a deadline. It’ll be interesting to see what they can accomplish over the next few years.

All that aside, I am afraid that there’s no polite way to put this: What you wrote about SJW entryism was completely retarded.

“Cuckservative” may be my favorite meme of all time regarding the right. You either resist the insanity (leftist/altruism/egalitarianism) as a whole, or you become a dominated man. It’s the worst form of beta possible.

Thanks for the linkage and as always, the list of interesting stuff to read with coffee and pipe on a sunny morning…

Cuckoo birds are a more tasteful way to frame the meme. A cucked bird feeds the monster which killed its children.

manifestation of Collapse, list drawn up by Kirkpatrick Sale about 30 years ago.

“An imperiled ecology, irremediable pollution of atmosphere and oceans, overpopulation, world hunger and starvation, the depletion of resources, environmental diseases, the vanishing wilderness, uncontrolled technologies, chemical toxins in water, air, and foods, and endangered species on land and sea.

A deepening suspicion of authority, distrust of established institutions, breakdown of family ties, decline of community, erosion of religious commitment, contempt for law, disregard for tradition, ethical and moral confusion, cultural ignorance, artistic chaos, and aesthetic uncertainty.

Deteriorating cities, megalopolitan sprawls, stifling ghettoes, overcrowding, traffic congestion, untreated wastes, smog and soot, budget insolvency, inadequate schools, mounting illiteracy, declining university standards, dehumanizing welfare systems, police brutality, overcrowded hospitals, clogged court calendars, inhuman prisons, racial injustice, sex discrimination, poverty, crime and vandalism, and fear.

The growth of loneliness, powerlessness, insecurity, anxiety, anomie, boredom, bewilderment, alienation, rudeness, suicide, mental illness, alcoholism, drug usage, divorce, violence, and sexual dysfunction.
Political alienation and discontent, bureaucratic rigidification, administrative inefficiency, legislative ineptitude, judicial inequity, bribery and corruption, the use of repressive machinery, abuses of power, ineradicable national debt, collapse of the two-party system, defense overspending, nuclear proliferation, the arms race and arms sales, and the threat of nuclear annihilation.”

The fact that there are no libertarians in Asia almost makes me suspect there is more cognitive diversity within the white race than all other races combined.

Still, as natural perfectionists Asians are the best at building complicated devices of all types where the pieces have to fit together just right.
