Steven Sailer makes room for a smidgen of gentle cynicism about the economic driver behind the Obama Administration’s “Affirmatively Furthering Fair Housing” initiative:

Clearly, racial justice demands forcing suburbs/exurbs to subsidize affordable housing to encourage blacks to move to more convenient locations currently dominated by evil white racists, such as, perhaps, Murrieta, Hemet, Coachella, Twentynine Palms, and Hesperia. […] Seriously, sixty years ago, “urban renewal” was all the rage, although cynics joked that cities, in effect, were attempting to engage in “Negro removal.” […] Nowadays, everybody who is anybody wants to move back into the city, so white progressives have become obsessed with exposing all those vicious racists in the suburbs and exurbs, and using disparate impact thinking to force them to take more blacks from the city. […] It’s only a coincidence that this would open up more prime urban real estate for gentrification, right?

There can be little doubt that it’s a low tolerance for hypocrisy, beyond anything, that pushes people into the crime-think zone. A cheerful acceptance that evangelical political correctness is entirely compatible with profitable ethnic-clearing exercises — perhaps even a crucial tool in this regard — would make it wholly unnecessary to ever make those awkward, socially-taboo remarks. It’s not as if anyone is going to be called out about it (except by the Sailers of this world, who’ve been carefully locked-up in the muffled cell). There’s not even any need to be a hick Republican about the whole business. Clearly, the left wing of the Democratic Party is the place from which to really clean up. Simply recognize that words are a perfectly empty social ritual, designed by the Holy Zeitgeist for the public expression of convenient tribal emotions, and all the confusion goes away. Dollars follow, and life is beautiful.

We can laugh (darkly), as Sailer does, but that’s most probably a maladaptive relic. There’s certainly plenty of laughter to go around on the other side.

This is no laughing matter, admin!

Those poor mestizos in Near Northside are being deprived of Katy schools. Deprived, I tell you!

Let’s get them out to Katy right away. Or if Katy’s just a little pricy, we could try the next town out. (Fulshear’s nice, I hear) And, I’m sure we can find something to do with the decrepit bungalows that they’ll be forced to leave behind. In fact, I think I could Do My Part and buy out a few of them right now.

I first heard about this policy from my ex-girlfriend who used to work at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. She was so enthusiastic about it at the time, and probably still is, but my reaction was basically similar to Sailer’s.

Indeed. How else are you going to have any vital, hard-edged urban music coming from there?

Also, all cities seem to be blue (like the color of Yankee uniforms) and so they want to destroy their natural enemy, the suburbs and rural areas. Exporting the impoverished there is a double-win for them: cities gentrified, all known alternatives trashed.

Again, it seems that liberalism is one command: OBEY.

This nugget of social engineering has been happening in the tiny state of Vermont for some years now. Groups are herded from Baltimore, Philly and NYC and shipped by cattle-car (Amtrak) to the bucolic hills of the whitest state in the US. Word has it it’s mostly failed drug-dealers looking to ply their trade on less discerning folk.

Life hasn’t changed for the locals barring having a more reliable connect. Any and all funds supplied to the implants are quickly squandered and as such they settle down and congregate in areas where locals didn’t venture anyway. What suburbia offers is simply more space for the implants to settle due to overcapacity in cities or what-have-you. Life proceeds as it has and no one knows any different. What this policy really offers is an increased acceptance of suburbia for guilt-ridden whites as they now have their own little village ghettos to which they can admire from afar.

When this maneuver was tried on the very wealthy North Shore suburbs of Chicago back in the late Carter admin, it was rapidly brought to a halt, and politicians who didn’t go along were removed from office.

While its pretty scary in some ways if youre of the type that live in posh burbs theres reason to think they wont do it. Its going to mess with the politics unless they only do it to republican towns and rich republicans are hard to find these days. If they do it to liberal towns the whites might go conservative to gain control of things and less minorities in the hoods leave them vulnerable to gentrification. But on the whole i think ill buy another 20000 rounds
