When left trying to act as right that is when something ‘agonizingly embarrassing upon close inspection’ happen.

Regarding infertility yes is it big and growing problem. If previously only women was blamed, now in about 50 ‰ cases it is male who infertile.

But IQ shredder, a bit too far fetched. Infertility medically covered, completely. Nowadays so many options exist for infertile couples, they can have a tiger son not only human one.

If radically decoded Internet identity is the extrapolation of the norms of urban existence,
Wouldn’t that imply fighting the cities is yesterday’s battle? Sure, the cities are still hotbeds of these norms.
But seeing how communication, meeting up, association, especially by the younger generations, is mediated by applications on the Internet, the norms of the global city are spreading without heed to geography.

The new “Maoist” slogan would be “Burn the Internet to the ground”. Good luck with that.

    > “Education expenses alone explain much of this. School fees are by far the most effective contraceptive technology ever conceived. ”

… on the other hand, the Internet also makes education and information cheaper and more widely available. More generally we can use technology to reduce the overhead of childrearing.

If the goal (set at a society level) is to get high-IQ women to reproduce, typical leftist policies such as giving paid leave after childbirth, as well as day care centers at workplaces, and encouraging working remotely, start to make sense. This reduces the cost, as well as perceived hassle, of reproduction.

This is not a new, nor unknown, problem in European countries. You’re not going to convince, for example, my sister, who does neurological research, to have children, with Abrahamic religious rhetoric. If anything that will have the opposite effect. You’d better convince her that smart children have a promising future, instead of just being bullied by neo-Maoists.

Another valid thing to ask would be, while still at the societal level: Do we need a lot of children? Why?
Not to fill “jobs” at least: http://www.marketwatch.com/story/this-chart-spells-out-in-black-and-white-just-how-many-jobs-will-be-lost-to-robots-2017-05-31 is probably an optimistic projection.

    > “How do we make practical and technical sense of social solution searches in general?”

Do realize you’re getting into the accursed game of trying to engineer a society.
Instead of chasing solutions to problems, it’d be necessary to define goals.
Then try to find the extremely non-linear and non-straightforward ways of accomplishing them, and a way to enforce those.

    Also:

    > has tended relentlessly to convert children from productive assets into objects of luxury consumption

If people, on average, are turning into cost centers instead of profit centers, is that the fault of urbanization? Or is it the result of automation? Farming is increasingly automated too, so it’s not that children outside urban centers are, everything else being equal, more productive assets.

So is it that bad if children are “objects of luxury consumption? People strive for objects of luxury consumption. Maybe “luxury” is exactly the angle to encourage parents to invest in children.

As the world is reaching maximum carrying capacity, K-selection starts to dominate instead of r-selection. The expansion phase of humanity is over (unless maybe: colonization of space? given how expensive life support is in space I’d put my doubts into that being any different.)

I’m trying hard to think why any of this would be bad.

    >”Another valid thing to ask would be, while still at the societal level: Do we need a lot of children? Why?”

    It’s not for economic reasons.

We don’t, in fact, need high birth rates — but the most wretched specimens of humanity are reproducing, and far faster than we are. As has been said many times, “the future belongs to those who show up for it.” Current trends are profoundly dysgenic, and are obviously downright disastrous insofar as Western culture is concerned. There is, therefore, a cultural imperative to support high birth rates. There may even be a moral imperative. How the West handles the next few decades could well determine not just the future of humanity as a species, but even if we are to have a future at all.

We’re in a conundrum: We either breed, or we destroy competing cultures and societies while we still can, or we resolve to die. At present, it looks like the last option is the one we have collectively selected. As such, men like us can only take solace in technological dei ex machina — the possibility that either we shall soon be able engineer humans out of subhumans, or that the last of us shall be able to take on the rest of the world… and win.

This is all masking the actual issue: modernity is despair-inducing. The surpassing youth-suicide rates and drug overdose rates all serve to correlate with dropping TFR to indicate that there’s something missing; I suspect just as telecommuting ultimately proved incapable of replacing working in the office, similar challenges happened with replacing human friendships with online mediated ones.

This is also why the centralization of cities continues. In the end, technology really isn’t the solution; technology is a blind god that if anything, serves to enable short-term impulses and trap us in a variety of forms of addiction. It enables the ultimate death drive.

    [Reply]

    Erebus Reply:

What you say about modernity may be true, but what can possibly be done about it at this point? And if you think that things are bad now, just wait.

Technology is, in the end, what one makes of it. For some it is indeed just a distraction. Yet what else can offer solutions to the mess we find ourselves in? Not religion, surely. If we’re being reasonable, and sticking to the realm of the possible, the question “what can be done?” must always be answered with reference to some technology or other.

Technological maximization has long been, and is increasingly, attractive as a terminal value. We’ll need to engineer ourselves out of this mess.

But think of what Foucault called “technologies of the self”, such as stoicism, askesis, etc. Religion is a technology and man is a spiritual animal. A religion of technology seems to be what you’re proposing, ironically, lol.

    Wagner Reply:

Oh I guess I will use this as an excuse to tell a joke I’ve been sitting on:

    Foucault was literally pozzed.

    G. Eiríksson Reply:

Wagner is right, religion properly is technology. The latter literally means logos of skill, or logic of craftiness, if you will. Etymologically that is.

Roman religio is rites. Technical rites. Esoterics is mathematics. It is the technology of grand Temples and war-machines. All this was profoundly religious.

▬» In so far as the Romans had a religion of their own, it was not based on any central belief, but on a mixture of fragmented rituals, taboos, superstitions, and traditions which they collected over the years from a number of sources.
To the Romans, religion was less a spiritual experience than a contractual relationship between mankind and the forces which were believed to control people’s existence and well-being. »

Any sufficiently enough understood religion is indistinguishable from technology.

    Erebus Reply:

Those particular “technologies of the self” you mention have been ingrained for millennia into the psyche of our race. Si monumentum quaeris, circumspice. Where have stocisim and askesis led us?

Technological maximization, in the sense I spoke of it, is a goal-oriented terminal value which provides a sense of purpose that, in the main, even nonbelievers in the transcendent and those ignorant of philosophical traditions can lose themselves in. I suppose it could be considered a sort of materialist mysticism: Technics as salvation itself; possibly enough to shore up our esprit de corps and combat the crisis of nihilism we now find ourselves in. (Spengler would say that technology is a cruel and unnatural master, which drives us with a whip, as though we were slaves. We should see that our taskmaster is, to the contrary, benevolent under the circumstances, and that the alternative to service is annihilation.)

I’ve long maintained that the only credible form of transcendentalism, these days, is techno-transcendentalism. Only through it can the empty rites and promises of the old religions be meaningfully fulfilled. Society itself can perhaps be rectified — remember Machiavelli’s basic argument that good laws follow from good arms, which in turn follow from good religion. In this case, it should be clear how good arms would follow a good religion!

    Wagner Reply:

“Where have stocisim and askesis led us?”

Scientism is a form of asceticism. Scientists are like monks only stricter (the ideal scientist anyway). They’ve renounced everything, only unlike monks of yore they’ve gone further to include the lies of god the father and judge, and the subordination of the true to the good. This doesn’t come without its disadvantages. Scientists and qualia are not exactly the best of pals, and in qualia lies some of the most fundamental aspects of being human, foremost among them sinfulness or fallenness, and their opposite, redemption or forgiveness. Does technology tell the scientist if he’s been a very bad boy? Or that he doesn’t have to dwell in the mire of guilt for it? Or that he ought to? How can we hope to grow morally if science is our religion strictly speaking? I mean, it’s part of the definition of science that its very definition is open to change, but the way things stand now it would be an equivocation to say that science provides anything remotely similar to a decalogue, and it would be a pure larp to claim that certain thou shalts are total bunkum.

    G. Eiríksson Reply:

Yes, absolutely, dei ex machina as you say.

▬» The original meaning of the term ascesis – from άσλέω, “to train” – was simply “training” and, in a Roman sense, discipline. The corresponding Indo-Aryan term is tapas (tapa or tapo in Pāli) and it has a like significance: except that, from the root tap, which means “to be hot” or “to glow,” it also contains the idea of an intensive concentration, of glowing, almost of fire.
With the development of Western civilization, however, the term ascesis (or its derivatives) has, as we know, taken on a particular meaning that differs from the original. Not only has it assumed an exclusively religious sense, but from the general tone of the faith that has come to predominate among Western peoples, a asceticism is bound up with ideas of mortification of the flesh and of painful renunciation of the world: it has thus come to represent the method that this faith usually advocates as the most suitable for gaining “salvation” and the reconciliation of man, weighed down by original sin, with his Creator. As early as the beginnings of Christianity the name “ascetic” was applied to those who practiced mortification by flagellation of the body.
Thus, with the growth of modem civilization. all that asceticism stood for gradually and inevitably became the object of strong dislike. If even Luther, with the resentment of one unable to understand or tolerate monastic disciplines, could refuse to recognize the necessity, value, and usefulness of any ascesis, and could substitute it by exaltation of pure faith, then humanism, immanency, and the new life cult were brought from their standpoint to heap discredit and scorn upon asceticism, broadly associating such tendencies with “medieval obscurantism” and with the aberrations of “historically outdated ages.” And even when asceticism was not dismissed out of hand as pathological or as a kind of sublimated masochism, all sorts of incompatibilities to our ways of life were affirmed. The best known and most overworked of these is the antithesis supposed to exist between the ascetic, static, and emasculated Orient, renouncer and enemy of the world, and the dynamic, positive, heroic, and progressive Western civilization.
Unfortunate prejudices such as these have succeeded in gaining a foothold in people’s minds; even Friedrich Nietzsche sometimes seriously believed that asceticism only attracted the “pallid enemies of life,” the weak and disinherited, and those who, in their hatred of themselves and the world, undermine with their ideas the civilizations created by a superior humanity. Furthermore, recent attempts have been made to provide “climatic” explanations of asceticism. Thus, according to Gunther, the Indo-Germans, under the influence of an enervating and unaccustomed climate in the Asiatic lands they had conquered, came slowly to regard the world as suffering »

▬» Once detachment, viveka, is interpreted mainly in this internal sense, it appears perhaps easier to achieve it today than in a more normal and traditional civilization. One who is still an “Aryan” spirit in a large European or American city, with its skyscrapers and asphalt, with its politics and sport, with its crowds who dance and shout, with its exponents of secular culture and of soulless science and so on-among all this he may feel himself more alone and detached and nomad than he would have done in the rime of the Buddha, in conditions of physical isolation and of actual wandering. »

Whatever enabled the Roman legions to form and conquer was not empty. Religion for them wasn’t what it was for Christianity or Moderns. Fides, i.e. Faith, was a Roman goddess, of trust. Not a sentimentality and a prostrating before the Other.

As Numa Denis Fustel de Coulanges describes in his « La cité antique » ▬»
Religion was the sole factor in the evolution of ancient Greece and Rome, the bonding of family and state was the work of religion, that because of ancestor worship the family, drawn together by the need to engage in the ancestral cults, became the basic unit of ancient societies, expanding to the gens, the Greek phratry, the Roman tribe, to the patrician city state, and that decline in religious belief and authority in the moral crisis provoked by Roman wealth and expansion doomed the republic and resulted in the triumph of Christianity and the death of the ancient city state. [1] »

    Religion is simply a vector.

A vector for experiences. It can be a vector for merely sentimental experiences, or something more rapturous. Rupturous. Disruptive. Kundalini should work for someone like yourself, Erebus, as we’re supposed to have greater access to currents in the Kali Yuga, and it is already in us all. It’s not a word for hocus pocus, but something that is supposed to describe and does describe flows in the body, related to the libidinal. More than a few of the readers here have experiences with them. This is the chief flow around which religious rites aggregate. The direction of this life or libidinal current. Where doth it channel? You will see that all rites, customs, of all nations, even in modernity, of invididuals too, are around, as it were, regulating this current. People have parties. That’s typically a libidinal expression. Or they channel it into design, manufacturing, war.

According to Fustel de Coulanges the original Roman and Greek religions were very simple. It was simply a filial cult around fire. Naturally, there were shamanic practices also, and a psychogeography of affects and inspirations around one’s locality. Someone who takes walks outside may know what I am talking about. ☻▬» Psychogeography is an approach to geography that emphasizes playfulness and “drifting” around urban environments. It has links to the Situationist International. Psychogeography was defined in 1955 by Guy Debord as “the study of the precise laws and specific effects of the geographical environment, consciously organized or not, on the emotions and behavior of individuals.”[1] »

You don’t think our “antitheological ire” is at all warranted, Erikson? It’s best not to chug the whole jug of the koolaid of decadence, as in the modern world patent signs of high civilization abound. To say it again, the narrative of decadence is a noble lie as much as the narrative of progress. Our adoption of such narratives is an outgrowth of the ascetic spirit itself (and yes even teh “narrative” narrative is). We are the “true progressives” as the progressives are the “true puritans” and we are as unconscious of our heritage as we joke about them being. It’s like Hegel’s idea that the generations of humanity are a single person evolving throughout history. We sneer at religion and its accomplice asceticism and all its baggage of pious fraudulence. We see priestcraft as dripping with the devil. It was inherent in Christianity that it would be overcome, for couldn’t Christianity itself be a “trick of the devil”? (Incipit Descartes’ parable of the demon). Shitlibs and shitlords are fervently obsessed with vanquishing what they take to be the devil, as moved by tapu as Polynesian cannibals; our existential imperatives come from the same Godhead from the beginning of time. But there is nevertheless a hierarchy in the One, and certain aspects of religion we have simply evolved out of. Asceticism has done a good job, and continues to do a good job!

They’re still being arranged around the world, even in the West among neo-aristocrats of wealth and power.

{AK}: The given scenario was that of modern city-states, which are assumed to be successful concentrations of productive energies. The logical implications I outlined in the earlier comment, derive from views Neoreaction advocates, they aren’t my theses. Neoreaction advocates high-IQ elitism and techno-commercial citystates, such as Singapore.
Supporting “50 kids on the the quality of living and education Tom Sawyer had”, on insufficient income, does not seem to be an intelligent strategy, given the complex demands of the urban environment inadequately educated children would have to face. What you call “today’s smart engineer”, has to compete in the “finance and marketing rat-race”. The criteria for such an engineer’s belonging to a techno-commercial citystate, high-IQ elite, would be contingent on their successfully competing in that scenario, perhaps as an innovator, but certainly as among the best of their kind, that’s what ‘elite’ means. Such an individual, usually earns millions, or more.

However, insofar as they are informed by, and adapted to, European cultural styles, the argument could be made that the sheer export of these European-styled developments, with no further adaptations, could prove problematic due to the conflict of ethno-cultural styles.

Just a thought… if heredity > parenting, we may as well pay 140 IQ people for their sperm/eggs and raise the kids en masse in state orphanages. Or it could be a private foundation.

It goes against my instincts as I am all for traditional families… but if all we want is more people with good genes, we can figure a streamlined production process for that, and this is that.

Technological modernity professionalizes everything, taking them out from the home e.g. wives sew clothes at home -> clothes are made in factories. Thinking we could also make kids this way sounds disgusting, as obviously we love our kids far more than we love our clothes, but it would be in a way logical. Brave New World etc.

We could even give those kids something like a family upbringing. The EU is doing this, except for the genetics part, there is plan to close orphanages and just put 2 teachers with 10 orphan kids into a house each, effectivly simulating large families. Not a replacement for true families but far better than the orphanage. One could imagine a high IQ breeding programme this way…

“It might still be a few decades before artificial intelligences surpass the horizon of biological ones, but it is utterly superstitious to imagine that the human dominion of terrestrial culture is still marked out in centuries, let alone in some metaphysical perpetuity. The high road to thinking no longer passes through a deepening of human cognition, but rather through a becoming inhuman of human cognition, a migration of cognition out into the emerging planetary technosntience reservoir, where human culture will be dissolved. … Intelligence will be transplanted into the purring data zones of new software worlds in order to be abstracted from an increasingly obsolescent anthropoid particularity.
Life is being phased-out into something new, and if we think this can be stopped we are even more stupid than we seem.

    – Circuitries

Still, not to worry, as Adi Da pointed out –

“No matter what arises, or does not arise, you are only Consciousness Itself. Not the ego, not the separate ‘self,’ but Consciousness Itself.
It is commonly presumed that the apparently individual conscious ‘self’ is doing the thinking. You presume you are the source and cause and doer of thinking. You presume that the contents and problems of your thinking are ‘yours’ – but this is only a presumption, or a mere idea.
That presumption is not inspected – and, indeed, that presumption is not true.
You are not the thinking mind. Rather, you are simply the formless mere witness of whatever is arising.
No matter what happens to the body-mind-‘self’ while you live, you are always only awareness, and awareness itself never changes. The daily-ordinary ego-mind is constantly identifying pure awareness with the changes that are peripheral to it, but if you inspect awareness itself, if you enter into it most profoundly, you will clearly see that awareness itself does not change, but is simply and only the in-depth mere witness of changes.”

Does anyone find this kind of impersonal dissociation in any way reassuring?

Christ is definitely a model for a real experience for one with the imagination. It’s not unreal like thinking of Utopia, which is typically a social arrangement.

Christ’s social message is secondary. His experiental message is primary.

This is what makes him different from Marx, primarily.

Those who take his social message as primary are misunderstanding the whole thing. It’s the same in Buddhism. Buddhism is just more clear on this. It says the pro-social morality is just a raft to get over a river. I.e. that it’s just a tool to simplify one’s life, to no accrue more karma (reactions to one’s actions). I.e. so that you don’t have to deal with drama and all the social complications of typical human life, you simply forgive everybody and focus on the task at hand which is ascetic practices.

Ascetic practises are properly not hocus pocus, but very mundane. In Buddhism they say they start with the samsaric vessel, which means your chaotic life. You try to see the arrangements in your life. Why are you bothered? Why is your mind an ongoing monkey? You may not get a “why” answer, but you’ll witness a how. Christianity proper does this. It’s a monastic creed. It gave hope to slaves in the Roman empire that they could be rid of their suffering through believing in those who’ve mastered such practices. You can get a purpose in life by hanging out with other people who are into that. You can try out the shit and it will work but for the most unfortunate.

Marx should have had all his frustration spanked out of him.

Capital always hunts for the most productivity with least humans. There is no reliable counter to this short of armageddon.

Religion is no use. Most Muslim countries outside of Nigger Africa (which is the only continent left on the planet that Capital can still overhaul), even in the Arabian Peninsula, only have about two children, maybe three if they’re lucky. So does India. The Far East is lower than that.

Neither does “Patriarchy.” Muslim women have, at most, a status on par with Western and Far Eastern women.

It looks like the world is evolving towards learning to do more with less. I wouldn’t be surprised if we had fortresses with means to exterminate feral negroes or other Deplorables for the super wealthy to comfortable Middle Class to rule the world from while everybody else just dealt with it.

I expect neither the hardcore Left or Reaction would be pleased with it.

If capital wants to survive it will find a way to not destroy humans and their culture by humans of course we means whites i dont give a fuck what capital does to niggers not my problem but capital should not expect me to make it my problem. Capital has found ways to work with communism it ought to be able to adapt to humans. We tolerate support it because it serves us we dont serve it, that shit has to stop.perhaps like china we need to shoot some capitalists occasionally to straighten them out on the hierarchy. Doing more with less is not a problem for humans its the capitalists that are shooting themselves in the foot. put the women back in the kitchen and eliminate the niggers races Voila -less ! Capitalism is always short sighted so it allowed its evil twin (commies) to start wrecking.get capitalism under control and let culture do its job. Captalism can not be “free” its stupid like that AI paper clipper it doesnt care about anything but profits.I shouldnt have to remind conservatives- but youre not your sperg nerds doing your own paperclipping;its not the profits we like about capitalism thats the carrot we offer them to do our work, the stick is the market, the point of the operation to us is the innovation and productivity gains- but not for themselves because they make human life more – lets just say more good.Capitalism will try to distort human good in all sorts of ways because it doesnt give a shit about it thats fine but humans must or lands theory proves right, its not inevitable its simply capital and its comrades want you to believe you must submit of course they do. If capital can tell you what your choices are it makes their job easier, if they can co opt the state to tell you just as good.

So how many people have you killed?

My dad actually killed Jews. Blasted them to death at close range with a machine gun.
He was serving in the Parachute Regiment in Palestine when his patrol was ambushed by the Stern Gang. Had to fight his way out in a gun battle that left some of his best mates dead. But this was never something he ever glorified or bragged about. In fact he never talked about it at all unless me and my brother interrogated him about it. He as just a quiet, teetotal, hard-working, dutiful father. Best dad I ever had.

Great writing and playing, Rohme! I listened to it all the way through, without losing interest. I like the quiet intensity, it brought to mind the following tracks:

Caldera (1978 USA) – 02. Mosaico (with Jorge Strunz, gtr)

Return to Forever – The Romantic Warrior 1976 (with Al Di Meola, gtr)

For various reasons, I always associate the above two tracks together. I slightly prefer the Caldera track, though, because of its ‘quiet intensity’. I like the oboe, too.

There is more ‘quiet intensity’ on this track by Aziza Mustafa Zadeh, brilliance and beauty.

▬» The Roman Empire reached its greatest geographical extent under Trajan (emperor 98–117), who ruled a prosperous state that stretched from Mesopotamia to the Atlantic. The Empire had large numbers of trained, supplied, and disciplined soldiers, as well as a comprehensive civil administration based in thriving cities with effective control over public finances. Among its literate elite it had ideological legitimacy as the only worthwhile form of civilization and a cultural unity based on comprehensive familiarity with Greek and Roman literature and rhetoric. The Empire’s power allowed it to maintain extreme differences of wealth and status (including slavery on a large scale),[13] and its wide-ranging trade networks permitted even modest households to use goods made by professionals far away.[14]

Its financial system allowed it to raise significant taxes which, despite endemic corruption, supported a large regular army with logistics and training. The cursus honorum, a standardized series of military and civil posts organised for ambitious aristocratic men, ensured that powerful noblemen became familiar with military and civil command and administration. At a lower level within the army, connecting the aristocrats at the top with the private soldiers, a large number of centurions were well-rewarded, literate, and responsible for training, discipline, administration, and leadership in battle.[15] City governments with their own properties and revenues functioned effectively at local level; membership of city councils involved lucrative opportunities for independent decision-making, and, despite its obligations, became seen as a privilege. Under a series of emperors who each adopted a mature and capable successor, the Empire did not require civil wars to regulate the imperial succession. Requests could be submitted directly to the better emperors, and the answers had the force of law, putting the imperial power directly in touch with even humble subjects.[16] The cults of polytheist religion were hugely varied, but none claimed that theirs was the only truth, and their followers displayed mutual tolerance, producing a polyphonous religious harmony.[17] Religious strife was rare after the suppression of the Bar Kokhba revolt in 136 (after which the devastated Judaea ceased to be a major centre for Jewish unrest). Heavy mortality in 165-180 from the Antonine Plague seriously impaired attempts to repel Germanic invaders, but the legions generally held or at least speedily re-instated the borders of the Empire.[18] »

Less offensively, certain cities are now having to drag in peoples who have successfully rejected Western modernity for centuries. They might monkeywrench the whole system.

There are also high IQ prole families that have been throwing high IQ prole children for generations, some stay in their class, most probably leave per murray. .Opportunities for high IQ proles both stabilized and new entrants within their own class have been shrinking for decades, of course opportunities have been shrinking above their class as well both because immigration etc.The prole class at least always had children family being one of the incentives for them not to leave their class.
Non white population wont be able to produce new high IQ entrants at the same replacement rates.

    Decaying Lambskins

After all, we also stand on a height. Our blood and our culture
have passed the flood-marks of any world
Up to this time. Our engineers have nothing to learn from Rome’s,
Egypt’s, China’s, and could teach them more
Than ever their myth-makers imagined. Our science, however
confused, personal and fabulous, can hardly
Lean low enough, sun-blinded eagle, to laugh at the strange
astronomies of Babylon, or at Lucretius
His childish dreams of origins, or Plato’s
Lunatic swan. While as for our means and mastery of warfare, at
sea, on land, in the air …
    So boastful?
Because we are not proud but wearily ashamed of this peak of
time. What is noble in us, to kindle
The imagination of a future age? We shall seem a race of cheap
    Fausts, vulgar magicians.
What men have we to show them? but inventions and appliances.
Not men but populations, mass-men; not life
But amusements; not health but medicines. And the odor: what
is that odor? Decaying lambskins: the Christian
Ideals that for protection and warmth our naked ancestors . . .
but naturally, after nineteen centuries . . .

O Mort, vieux capitaine, est-il temps, nous levons l’ancre? It is perhaps
Time, almost time, to let our supreme inventions begin to work.
    The exact intelligent guns
Can almost wheel themselves into action of their own accord, and
    almost calculate their own trajectories.
The clever battleships know their objectives; the huge bombing-planes
and meteor pursuit-planes are all poised for … what?
Vanity. This also is vanity; horrible too, but a vain dream.
    Our civilization, the worst it can do, cannot yet destroy itself;
but only deep-wounded drag on for centuries.

    We Are Those People

I have abhorred the wars and despised the liars, laughed at the frightened
And forecast victory; never one moment’s doubt.
But now not far, over the backs of some crawling years, the next
Great war’s column of dust and fire writhes
Up the sides of the sky: it becomes clear that we too may suffer
What others have, the brutal horror of defeat—
Or if not in the next, then in the next—therefore watch Germany
And read the future. We wish, of course, that our women
Would die like biting rats in the cellars, our men like wolves on the mountain:
    It will not be so. Our men will curse, cringe, obey;
Our women uncover themselves to the grinning victors for bits of chocolate.

    an eagles beak

An eagle’s nest on the head of an old redwood on one of the
    precipice-footed ridges
Above Ventana Creek, that jagged country which nothing but a
falling meteor will ever plow; no horseman
Will ever ride there, no hunter cross this ridge but the winged
ones, no one will steal the eggs from this fortress.
The she-eagle is old, her mate was shot long ago, she is now mated
    with a son of hers.
When lightning blasted her nest she built it again on the same
tree, in the splinters of the thunderbolt.
The she-eagle is older than I; she was here when the fires of
    eighty-five raged on these ridges,
She was lately fledged and dared not hunt ahead of them but ate
    scorched meat. The world has changed in her time;
Humanity has multiplied, but not here; men’s hopes and thoughts
and customs have changed, their powers are enlarged,
Their powers and their follies have become fantastic,
The unstable animal never has been changed so rapidly. The
motor and the plane and the great war have gone over him,
And Lenin has lived and Jehovah died: while the mother-eagle
Hunts her same hills, crying the same beautiful and lonely cry and
is never tired; dreams the same dreams,
And hears at night the rock-slides rattle and thunder in the throats
    of these living mountains.
    It is good for man
To try all changes, progress and corruption, powers, peace and
anguish, not to go down the dinosaur’s way
Until all his capacities have been explored: and it is good for him
To know that his needs and nature are no more changed in fact
in ten thousand years than the beaks of eagles.

After all, what’s going to be left when there is no more category of whiteness?

Yes, there will still be people with white skin who can trace their genetic ancestry to Europe but who have lost all sense of belonging to a racial category.

And there will still be people who categorize themselves as Jews and Blacks and Asians and various subdivisions of Asians. These people will continue to have a sense of racial/ethnic identity and they will continue to act on the basis of this identity.

But once our work is completed, ONLY Whites will be left without an identity and hence without weapons in the racial/ethnic struggle. …

When only Whites are left without an identity and hence without weapons in the racial/ethnic struggle, it doesn’t take much imagination to suppose that actual genocide of Whites is the next step.
