Moron bites (#19)

Have to plug in a link to this (at Columbia) for history’s sake.

“We have edited this post, because the original tone of the post was inappropriate for the severity of its content.”

The comment thread turns into a dark irony envelopment exercise some time before its end. (Digressive sub-question: When was it exactly that irony become exclusively and bitingly right-wing?)

ADDED: “The Dark Enlightenment doesn’t even have good memes.”

How can they be so dumb as to post about it? The best kind of no-platforming is when no one knows you’ve denied platform to someone. Isn’t that obvious.

The odds are a non-zero number of bored normies will learn about DE just because BWOG had to write about the trolling attempt. If

they had instead quietly chucked the book in the trash..

This is what makes it fun. They go full hysteric at minor trolling (& the “book” was trolling). They’re so easily triggered!.

The “Emma Sulkowicz” comment is pure gold, 9/11 for sure, among many others.

Feels like /pol/ found this and started hitting it hard towards the end.

German idealism comment was the winner though. Rabbi Gieldowitz was close

To the question, when the cathedral became hegemonic is the obvious answer, as irony after this hostile takeover of the West would cut too deep into their own reign. Better to play on piety and smarmy self-indulgence. Biting irony and satire was adopted by the ‘right’ as a necessity, as well as a form of succor and respite to keep ‘us’ sane. That it would ever graduate to prime weapon of choice could not be predicted by anyone without the prescient puissance of a kwisatz haderach.

I think the whole thing is hilarious. They said they “couldn’t find” your dark enlightenment essay but google the title and your name and it is the first link. I guess that let’s us know the quality of Columbia investigative reporting! They convinced dumb people they were too dumb to find it, and everyone else who is half paying attention that they are lying. That essay must be really subversive if they saw it got that frightened enough to “feign” stupidity! Rewriting the essay to be serious is of course also hilarious.

They see secret shitlords walking around them everywhere! The life of the average leftist right now is right out of invasion of the body snatchers. Those paranoid freaks see doppelganger fascists in every strange face they see. I can’t even imagine what its like to be that neurotic.

I also notice that the signed it “DarkEn” The suggests that my sub might have had some influence on them starting this, since I don’t think many other places merge the two words and capitalize the E like that. It seems like a wink to me, but it could just be coincidence.

    Entirely agreed.

It has become completely impossible to distinguish “news” from parody — particularly when said news is written by millennials. Very frequently, as is the case here, ostensibly serious reports are far funnier than intentional parody.

It may be worth mentioning that Columbia is particularly famed for its school of journalism. If Bwog is anything to go by, there’s another joke for you.

It never ceases to amaze me how they cant see the difference between Curtis Yarvin Nick land and Andrew Anglin, Anglin is like that guy I knew in high school that said he hated niggers, while Nick is like that other kid who said “yeah but theres niggers in every race, I dont hate all blacks, just the niggers. red yellow purple niggers i hate them all. I mean its so clearly a totally a different thing.lolololol

Columbia was basically the birth place of technocracy. You’d think they would be on board with the “DarkEn”.

Serious question, how do you neo-reactionaries handle screaming hordes of shitskins demanding gibs like a zombie horde? I know how /pol would handle it(the answer is RWDS). Do you think you that an erudite explanation of the virtues of a joint stock company will placate them? Hahahahahahahaahahahaha.

    [Reply]

    vnord Reply:

I imagine that a not-so-erudite demonstration of a joint-stock company (which may have a sideline subsidiary involved with another type of stocks) may serve the same purpose as the RWDS.

vnord yes! Killing is a waste of resources. The flock can be steered by modifying the ideal but retaining the surface of the old:

“A new teaching concerning the foundations of society being, as such, unacceptable or exposed to enmity, the movement from the accepted or old teaching to the new must be made carefully, or the revolutionary interior must be carefully protected by a traditional exterior.” (Strauss on Machiavelli)

There is a distinct possibility that this article was written by the very trolls who left the book in the library, or that they were somehow involved in getting the journalists in question to write about. It would perfectly explain why, as Atavisionary, R., and others above point out, it is such a miserable attempt at no-platforming. It is the perfect way to spread DE knowledge while maintaining plausible deniability.

On the one hand, plenty of college progs are woefully stupid. I still regard double-reverse-meta trolling as a distinct possibility.

Dam Orwellian yokels as Columbia: “As a staff, we are concerned that this group has any form or presence on Columbia’s campus, especially when viewed in context with events which occured this semester. We in no way sympathize with this movement, and seek only to provide a complete picture of our investigation.”

Sounds like a throw back to the 50’s McCarthy era neighbor spy program but with a purely Left-wing slipstream normativity and universalist hogwash agenda. More and more the supposed Left has turned into their own worst nightmare: they’ve become the Fascists they’ve been seeking and targeting all along. And, without realizing it what Nietzsche said of those ‘serious spirits’: And especially that I am hostile to the spirit of gravity.

    — « Corbin shewed a complex system relating the traditions of pre-Islamic Iran, Shi’ism, Hermetism, and Christianity. He also described a spiritual geography, where the East is not where you think, and the North, what we call Hyperborea, where the Midnight Sun (the Black Sun?) is the true light. Corbin also relates the Iranian cosmology to that of Nordic cults. The Walkyries are equivalent to the Fravartis. This is just the surface of much deeper correspondences, which are too complex to discuss here. »

Columbia has oldest fuculty of politicsl science second after in uni of Chicago at this time all political ideas were scattered among different spevialities main justification to have politics as separate fucylty was in improving performance of government and that way to make life better. it started as a fraud and always be a fraud.  despite the fact that political science failed miserable to achieve its objective and failed  on absolutely everything it was trying to introduce, but the same mentality and expectations still persist even in Nrx too (been American child I guess). for example why we need neo cam? because it is better governace and it can make life better. same old thing. in this regard  imperative on depolitisation of governance is what only  makes nRx different. as admin once wrote: nRx begins when politics ends.
