Oswalt and the Unspeakable

This has to be the greatest comedy sequence yet seen in the history of Twitter:

Staging a micro-cultural non-event whose character is nevertheless graphically implied by the subsequent ‘apology’ — Hilarious, topical, experimental, and deep. (He has over 1.7 million followers, which makes the whole business even funnier.)

ADDED: Scroll down to the end of this for another Oswalt troll masterpiece (3edgy5me).

ADDED: hbd* chick has more.

ADDED: Unfollow this monster!

You clearly know far more about this than I do. (Still in the delightedly thunderstruck stage.)

Patton is a well-adjusted member of mainstream society and bows to its dictates, but he’s irrepressibly open-minded. He was a big defender of Jim Goad a few years ago, until Goad presumably tweeted something he ought to have deleted or the like. This is a swell bit of humor jui-jitsu.

This exchange was particularly great. An incredible amount of people didn’t get it, some one fan had to draw a diagram.

Oswalt’s brilliant satire a la the spirit of “trolling,” is to the Cathedral what Voltaire’s “Candide” was to Leibniz’s “best of all possible worlds” thesis- a masterful lampooning. I haven’t laughed so hard in a while.

Jim Goad’s “The Redneck Manifesto” is full of such witty insights into just how inane the emergent politically correct ethno/racial narrative has become:

“Be as black as you wanna be. Be so black, you cause an eclipse. I don’t care. Just quit staring at me. And give me back my wristwatch. That was a joke. Really. Look, just give me back my watch, or I’m calling the cops.”

Extra bonus points to the puritanical rape-joke shamer for being called “coolsexguy”.

Ooh ooh… HEY THAT’S THE GUY IN JUSTIFIED. Damn good show. He plays a very funny, pathetic and occasionally massively heroic role.
