Ah, it’s like meta-sarcasm, or something.

If they had shown a Millenium Falcon, I would say, “Yes, we are definitely not living up to a worthwhile goal.”

Instead, they showed us the Starship Enterprise: an emblem of the most dull, sterile, desiccated vision of the future in all of the 20th century.

If NRx’s goal is to make even space travel boring, then count me out. I’d rather be going buck-wild with Omar and Adnan over there in Europe.

heideggers perspective was eminently suitable for his audience, in the majority of humanity (including himself). it is so much for the better when those with lower world formation capacity do not concern themselves beyond the more parochial. autists long on ideology and short on imagination is where revolutions come from.
