Quote note (#300)

Fernandez:

… the tumultuous events of the last six months have dragged the Deep State into the fray. A slow motion ‘constitutional crisis’ is already occurring. The future of the Supreme Court, the independence (or neutrality) of the FBI, the role of Congress are now at issue. In the words of president Obama “I hate to put pressure on you but the fate of the Republic rests in your hands. The fate of the world is teetering”. The election has become a referendum. It is not just who heads the executive branch but what the executive branch will become that are on the ballot. Obama’s legacy and the political arc of the last 40 years are up for a vote. “The American Brexit is coming,” wrote James Stavridis in Foreign Policy, a comparison which if anything, understates the case.

It perhaps goes without saying (but I’ll say it anyway): from the perspective of NRx, as also probably more widely, tumult in the Deep State counts for far more than any democratic transition. Events are occurring that can’t be kept in the theater.

It’s interesting to recall how Brexit seemed like a long shot, but watching the proceedings start to finish cemented the fact that there is a silent majority still invested enough in the democratic system to spoil shit in an amusing way. Whether or not Our Thing across the pond is robust enough to stop it from happening again remains to be seen, but either way this isn’t sustainable and it’ll be just as interesting to see how it plays out. Time to reshuffle the deck I think.

▬>Most of the Daily Beast’s article’s dismissal (besides relying on mockery) comes down to the fact that the evidence is cited at a pro-Trump group and is therefore invalid. It even has for its closing line: ‘Earlier this year, r/The_Donald had potential moderator applicants fill out a questionnaire that included the questions: “Is white supremacy different than white nationalism?” and “Was 9/11 an inside job?”’

to influence some one you will have to conceptualise and interpret, it is low frequency processes, 44 consciouse events per second, but if your objective also to avoid contageouse backfluence, you will have to to train your brain to think visually (obviously you already have such abilities in some degree), by lateral cortex, same way as blitz chess players do in blitz you just have to see the board and rest is purely mechanical high intencity process. you cant synchronize two brains operating predominatly on different frequences.

I think many people over time become dissapointed in XS, just because they tend to conceptualise, derive something educational, ‘understand’. in my POV that kind of low frequency consciouse efforts never been a main objective here. grasp the flow.

Fernandez is that kind high frequecy thinker (why admin likes him), he can take chaotic data and in few centenses generate clear picture out of it. not always correct, but most of others not up to the task at all.

    Admin,

What is XS definition of the Deep State?

Not an idle question at this point.

This is not a definition, but it suggests why lucid (public) definition is going to be difficult.
