This is what an honest (and thus formidable) left would sound like:
Some years ago, a friend sent me a shocking article. It said hundreds of British girls were being systematically gang-raped by Muslim gangs. It claimed this was being covered-up. […] I’ve never had time for conspiracy theories, especially when they look as hateful as those in the article. So I checked the links and sources in the piece. I found an American racist-far-right website and from there, saw the original source was a similarly unpleasant website in the UK. […] I did a brief search for corroboration from reputable mainstream sources. I found none. So I wrote a curt reply to my friend: “I’d appreciate it if you didn’t send me made-up crap from neo-Nazi websites”. […] Some months later, I read the seminal exposé of the (mainly) ethnic-Pakistani grooming gang phenomenon by Andrew Norfolk in The Sunday Times. […] I was stunned and horrified – not just that these vile crimes were indeed happening and endemic, but that they really were being ignored and “covered-up” by public authorities and the mainstream media. …
The whole piece is terrifyingly sane. It’s so atypical, though, it can probably be ignored.
That one is an outlier, but many of us had similar experiences with “far-right conspiracy theories” going back into the 1980s. Back then, it was a conspiracy theory (in theory) to say that third world immigrants were being imported to replace us. Now it is common knowledge. Guess Schopenhauer was right about those three stages of acceptance of a new idea.

I kept arguing with what I thought were unsophisticated morons that it was impossible, that socialist multiculturalist world domination was a leftist, a communist thing, the wealthiest people in the world ,the corporations, would never conspire against freedom with marxists, they are enemies.

Intellectuals can interlegiate facts away from mere desires or political Ideology. Marcus Aurelius was an intellectual. Houellebecq even is an intellectual.
I´d sat an intellectual has at least be able to handle topics like race at Zizek´s level.

If a person cannot understand general logic, she´s not an intellectual.

I was in China when I first learned about this. I was stunned by how stupid this was.
I studied moral philosophy. There is an old saw about utilitarianism in which a police chief decides to arrest and frame an innocent man in order to make the mob happy.
It was supposed to be a refutation of utilitarianism. However, the counter argument is that if the deception becomes public then people lose trust in the justice system. Thus, producing worse consequences down the line.
Ironically, this is issue is dealt rather well by John Rawls and his “two concepts of rules.”
Firstly, an institution should have a clear purpose. Like with a game, whose object is fun. However, within the game the rules should be absolute. The referee cannot make decisions because he thinks it will increase the pleasure of the spectators.
In a justice system, the purpose is to (I assert) minimise violence.
The agents within the system (police, lawyers, judges) must follow the rules absolutely.
If not, all hell breaks loose.
I remember, also, reading from Jonathan Wolff (Introduction to Political Philosophy) in which a English judge refused to consider the possibility that Irish men were innocent of being accused of being IRA bombers.
At the time, I was stunned by the Judge’s idiocy.
Now, however, such idiocy does not surprise me.
A full reckoning on this subject has not yet been had.
It is pure gold. What better way is there to turn the people against the state, the left and Islam than this?
This will be one of the key pieces of evidence that will used when the time comes to present the crimes against the people.
