It’s true, people respect violence. But they respect honor and valor in violence. It’d be one thing to challenge healthy, awake males on the subway to physical confrontation and violence, but pushing aside incapacitated homeless men without challenging alert, healthy males doesn’t send the signal you think it does to people’s limbic systems. It says to people’s limbic systems that you’re a coward or dishonorable.
