This reminds me of that quote from John Carpenter’s ‘Prince of Darkness':

This is, perhaps, a brilliant negative rendition of the *actual* message of Christmas. Jesus was born this day to save us from our sins; He didn’t come to save us from poverty, injustice, suffering, and ignorance. That’s Santa, and he doesn’t exist.
