Sentences (#33)

There’s a reason why, when the establishment media is finally dead, people will still be queuing up to spit on its grave, and it’s this (from AoS):

Professional ‘journalists’ are now mandated to hide pertinent facts from you (such as this one) lest you draw unapproved conclusions from them.

ADDED: Islam is levering the Cathedral apart like a rotten crate. There has been no starker lesson from 2015.

ADDED: As EF rightly points out in the comments, the internal link (within the AoS sentence) does not remotely rise to the level of empirical credibility. If anyone has a link to a report with greater statistical sobriety, I’ll post it here. It would be unfortunate if over-excited reactive number-mongering ended up reinforcing a sense of self-righteousness among the Cathedral administrative and media criminals exposed by this horror story.

Idk, I bet way more than 17 kids where molested since 1997. Seems like a small sample size.

Maybe Muslims are more likely to do this child grooming thing.

This is ridiculous. That headline figure is far from a ” pertinent fact”, it is an incredibly skewed interpretation if the country as a whole is under discussion.

Countering bias with further bias will not suffice if you wish to make a coherent argument. But then I suspect this is more in the nature of a provocation, though even as such, it is unworthy to say the least.

A story is under discussion, and that’s a massive social atrocity enabled by the media. You’re in denial. “A nation in disgrace” gets it right — except the establishment and its fellow-travelers are entirely shameless.

I don’t think the Cathedral can digest Islam. The Religion of Peace is capable of generating vastly more incandescent malignancy than the information control apparatus is able to make disappear.

    Perfect quote.

When the San Bernardino thing was happening, the Cathedral was mum for many hours, but then the explosion of un-PC news was huge. The Internet news propagation systems push heavily-clicked-on news to the top, and any Islamic terrorism in the West goes viral the instant any article appears.

admin, agreed, the Cathedral’s smugness blinds it to the coming parabolic metastasis.

    EF Reply:

I am not in denial, neither am I an apologist. I’m not even much out of sympathy with your broader judgements on Islam. However, that isn’t really my point. I’ll attempt to clarify.

Your overall project aspires toward, or is even founded on, a mathematized, systemic rigour. Yet when the available figures don’t suit the point you wish to make, they are gleefully distorted. One of the better examples would be all the incredible projections that were bandied about here during the height of the Ebola epidemic. Suddenly projections apposite in West Africa were simply multiplied to cover the world as a whole, and so on- a good time was had by all, but the modelling was, shall we say, a little on the crude side. The claim in the headline linked as a “pertinent fact” is a similar distortion. It isn’t just inaccurate, it’s stupid. And therefore unworthy, within the terms of reference you have set. Such fundamental inconsistency is displayed here often.

You’ve a considerable rhetorical talent, shading into a gift for ferocious hyperbole. IMO this has given your work its sustaining energy throughout its otherwise somewhat discontinuous phases. However, I greatly doubt that you sincerely believe – and pardon the lack of grammatical sense, as it is preserved from the link- “95% of Child Rape and Molestation Convictions in the UK Were Committed by Muslims”, who comprise ~6% of the UK population. They simply were not.

This criticism is fair enough. I wanted the AoS sentence, and the crappy link came with it.

It makes more sense to view media as an industry selling piece of mind through illusion, which is always cheaper than tackling problems.

If deliberate, bravo. The ‘piece’ being amygdala-hippocampus.

This sentence is fine, except, I’d remove the word ‘now.’ This has been the case since the advent of the New Deal and arguably even earlier.

I wonder, because it has managed to disappear all other signs of the decline so far. In the American South, cops have stopped reporting whole categories of crime to hide the Third World crime wave. They’ll do the same and then suddenly, 95% of the child abuse will be by white guys with good jobs, and the media machine will turn on them.

The reason for this vast success is that the media machine flatters what most people want to hear, which is that the problem is those who are natural successes at life, not those who are not. It’s just French Revolutionary rhetoric adapted for the TV age.
