Sentences (#95)

More game theory from Fernandez:

It will inevitably occur to someone that the advantage in an escalation trap belongs to the side which cares about America less since there is no point at which it will desist for pity’s sake.

This is how things get cold.

(I’ve adjusted the emphasis from the original, since it looked glitched to me. Apologies if I made a bad call.)

  • Brett Stevens Says:

America is dead as a concept and reality. Democracy killed it. The best thing now is to return our orientation toward Western Civilization, and to stop pretending that different groups — including white groups — can get along. Send the Irish back! And realize that Russia is not the savior of Western Europe.

Otherwise, I agree. The Left wants war with Russia to destroy, because they generally want to destroy anything good and healthy, and the mainstream Right wants war with Russia to mobilize its base. As usual in democracy, the leaders are actors signaling the population to respond like a panicked herd.

Western Civilization is a similarly dead concept. Erstwhile members of the category are to some degree taken with its reconfiguration or destruction, depending on the political leanings one has. Effectively no group of any significance seeks its restoration, that position is the fever dream of self-styled reactionaries with no power of any kind.

Your left and right are incoherent nomenclature. As in China, USA has a one party state and that mercenary state follows to the beat of Israeli, Saudi, and other drums. Anything to perpetuate the petrodollar and the global empire it props up. Democracy, though I have no use for it either, has nothing to do with it. Your “democracy,” was sold non-interventionism in the face of elite dismay. What it got was what your ruling class wanted.

The one thing I can agree with is that Russia is no savior of anyone. Even if they would like to, nobody will save Europeans or Americans from their leaders. An alien ruling class of immense global power seeks your death, and so you will die.
