Some suggestive figures and commentary. (More here.) Googling “trump + chaos” — 52,300,000 results (beginning 1, 2, 3, 4 …). Trump has 5,000,000 Twitter followers. The dike has broken. Now it cascades …

From the commies at Rolling Stone (three months ago):

During a Q&A with fans before a Cincinnati concert earlier this month, [pop music person] Billy Corgan was asked what he thought about the first Republican debate, at which point the rocker lauded the mogul’s ability to take the political spectrum and “fuck it up.” “I think what’s cool, and I’m not saying I agree politically, but I think what’s cool is Trump’s running chaos theory,” Corgan said (via Alternative Nation). […] “He’s forcing a lot of things out into the open, so they can’t control this, whatever that control is …”

As another commie hack points out calmly: “Trump may well be something unprecedentedly terrible.”

The rise of the destructor has been congesting all my information channels this week. Tomorrow’s Trumpenführer panic update goes parabolic.

ADDED: Trump and the Left Acceleration vote — “I’m hoping Donald Trump wins this year’s election. For the reason that it will fuck up that country so much faster then if a less bad President wins.”

The Week article was better (funnier) than I expected. Apparently Tennessee Coats thinks that, while Trump might be Hitler, America is already worse than the Third Reich, so it’s nothing to get worked up about. The author counterargues, I think, that while America is in fact basically Nazi Germany, Trump would actually be worse than Hitler, because at least Hitler didn’t manage to start a nuclear war.

‘In 2012, Norman Ornstein and Thomas Mann famously argued, “The GOP has become an insurgent outlier in American politics. It is ideologically extreme; scornful of compromise; unmoved by conventional understanding of facts, evidence and science; and dismissive of the legitimacy of its political opposition.”‘ lol

@ivvenalis I love all the talk of Republican extremes. The commentator hasn’t begun to see #NRx if they think the mainline GOP is extreme.

The problem with keeping ‘voting’* as your political formula is you have to have total control of the newspapers. You can’t have total control of the newspapers. If you look carefully, Trump termited his way in. They were sure he would beclown himself, and by the time they realized their mistake, it was too late. They can’t blacklist him now without murdering their own credibility.

The very fact that news and legitimate news differ creates this opening. The Jester can always switch, suddenly, to a real-news talking point and blow right through every dike and levee TPTB have set up.

Trump is certainly a comprehensive disaster for the status quo. That said, it is a very bad idea to assume your enemies are stupid. A cabal of people like me could certainly absorb the body blow and come back with a modified limited hangout. The question is; is there a cabal of people like me? Do they still have direct control? If not, America is….

    *(Divine Right of Mob)

Bonus: another way America is done like dinner, regardless.
E1 may realize they need to manoeuvre, which means they need Trump. They would have told their lapdogs e.g. NYT not to yip too hard. However, NYT etc. couldn’t swallow their pride and are going gonzo regardless. This alone is fatal to the American system. (Admittedly a slower poison than the others, maybe culminating in a decade.) Alternatively, E1 doesn’t know they need Trump and haven’t called off the dogs. Alternatively, their responsibility-laundering is too good and they can’t call off the dogs.

Perhaps you don´t need to control the media if you make them too much money.

The media has found out that their survival depends on broadcasting Trump. It makes them money, and by feigning dismay it maintains their holiness too, but most specially it makes them money. Lots of it. And you know what they say, when you owe the bank a million, the bank own you, but if you owe 1 billion, you own the bank.

At this rate Trump is going to own the media.

It’s definitely been entertaining, perhaps even a bit schadenfreudelicious, watching him dick-slap and troll the establishment.

Progressives spent the last decades asking “What’s the matter with Kansas?”, assuming that once rednecks realized that the pro-business Republican Party economic policies didn’t actually work to their benefit they would change their votes to a smart socialist intellectual like Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren.

    They were that stupid.

All hail Based Trump, who has catapulted the Overton window and ignited the shitlord revolution. I really do feel that it’s happening…it’s finally happening.

He’s created an opening for others, like Scalia came out and said that maybe we should stop jam-packing blacks and hispanics into top tier universities where they inevitably fail because acknowledging the truth of race and IQ might be better for everyone.

I listened to NPR liberals repeat that exact point, acknowledge the truth of black/hispanic students underperforming academically…and then try to laugh it off like lol haha that’s obviously racist without making single coherent counter argument.

Trump has mindfucked these people so badly that they can do nothing but flail, sputter slurs, and publicly discredit themselves through their own propaganda organs. The liberal ship is rapidly taking on water and it is oh so glorious to behold.

    Trump is an artist.

Right off the back of his “outrageous” muslim immigration ban proposal, not only was the media forced to non-stop talk about it, but two other republican candidates, Bush and Paul, proposed what is effectively a milder version of such a ban – Bush proposed temporarily banning refugees and Paul a temporary ban on immigration from 33(!) muslim states. Both of course said that Trump’s proposal is “too radical”.

This is the thing though. Now, after Trumps comments, it is suddenly not absolutely ridiculous to consider banning muslim immigration, even if only temporarily. Can you imagine such a measure being seriously suggested by non-fringe republican presidential candidates just six months ago? I cant. But now, yes everyone will say “Oh, Trump’s proposal is most definitely crazy, but(!) maybe we should consider some form of strong immigration restriction from dangerous muslim states…”, etc., etc. And that all Trump needs to do – to make the previously unspeakable, speakable. This is how he moves the Overton Window to the right, as if by magic.

Trump is true wizard of the dark arts. His sith mind tricks forces everyone to not only think crimethink, not only to seriously talk about it, but even to seriously consider enforcing said crimethink in practice.

Isn’t that the strategy of pretty much every righter-than-establishment group?

    Hurlock Reply:

Sure, but Trump is the only one actually pulling it off.

Trump can do this because he has ‘fuck you’ money. At some point acquiring ‘fuck you’ money needs to become a priority for NRxers (unless they want to remain small time ideological hobbyists).
