"To this end, we will be modelling a universal synthetic CDO and a H2O fall economy to realize a fully-equitable H2O fall economy "

I see what you mean. This sounds seriously ominous. Sivs as private property destroyers. Wealth flows to specific pools of the poor. Communistic waterfalls for those oppressed by white cis hetrosexuals. Communal CDOs to distribute wealth. On the positive side, they do make a lot of very interesting points regarding derivatives that can be *ahem* borrowed.

I shall attempt to fill the void- to shamelessly self advertise:

When I've got a better grip on what they're up to, I'll blog it. My suspicion is that, far from seeing the economy as "a pie of a set size" they think it can be transformed into an infinitely extensible cornucopia (which is, of course, at least equally problematic).

I just did a drive by on twitter and saw your post on speculative materialism. My interest is piqued. One thing which occurs to me from a superficial reading of the website, is that like most of the left, the authors seem to view economic activity as being a pie of a set size. I mean, topology is fine, but does it not deal with shapes of finite space and dimension? Surely the material world with regard to economics in particular has more than an element of fractal growth inherent in it? I mean, take the example of money creation - http://www.bankofengland.co.uk/publications/Documents/quarterlybulletin/2014/qb14q102.pdf
here we have a simple pattern replicating fractal style over and over and over. This would also be the same vis a vis derivatives in a far more complex manner.Would it not make sense to view the economic sphere (finance in particular) as being a fractal issue primarily which creates the shape which is only relevant in a particular space and time, making any set topological calculation and observation fleeting, and immediately obsolete.
