damn..I had to check to see if this is real…yeah he posted it

He’s def. treading on thin ice here..this is closet to NRx and anti-democracy going mainstream, being that Ross represents the NYT. this is huge

Interestingly Moldbug seems to be an effective conduit for initiating the ‘moderate right’ to NRx thought, united by shared dislike or skepticism of democracy.

That might actually work… fart and blink philosophy! Gas them, then trade them on the open market till the problem is solved or each nation is insolvent; whichever comes first…

if he is tweeting that he has obviously discussed moldbug etc with others in the establishment or hes just thinking he can wink at us and get away with it. as cool as it is its kind of like getting excited that tump will win and deport the mexicans just so much more likely everyone will be hung for racism.

I think there’s a little piece in most of us that secretly hopes Trump will pull a “true election”, reset the org chart, and save us from the abyss of our increasingly sclerotic, degenerate train-wreck that we call liberal democracy. But then, most of us aren’t so stupid as to not realize that this is anything other than pure dream-fevered delusion.

Got a golden image of Trump and Moldbug on the Harvard Lawn. I had to pen a memoir:

where the harvard crimson goes, when the harvard crimson flows
it is a secret, deep and dark, a secret no one knows
fine grapes crushed and pressed, a fine crimson hue
    a dead and dying age, a fresh wine to renew;
tread down by tigers’ paws, explicit, those tigers’ laws
the sounding of that wine press gave us pause
the angels and demons stopped awhile in thought
gave pause to that war yet to end they’ve fought
and consider what wrath, what expiation had past
a propitiation neither slow, nor waxing fast
for the crimson flowed like tide unmarred
when the tanks rolled on Harvard yard.

I prefer my memories to be of tomorrow. It keeps me ahead of the game slightly.

OK thanks Mark – how are things treating you out East?

You’ve missed the political soap opera that has been unfolding here, not that that’s any great loss. You keeping a blog, would be interested to here about your experiences over there.
