Which is why the left now builds on its pile of rubble and replies what self? There is no “Ameican culture” no “white culture whiteness is a construct” there is no continuity between classical civilization and European, between European and the Anglosphere. Blacks slaves and Chinese built America, jews and immigrants made all the advancements, The Arabs Chinese and others are who really developed classical civilization. The wealth is a product of colonialism slavery imperialism. You non anglo-germanic whites were never considered white dont side with them.
And sadly neo reaction pretty much agrees

One of the other “memory holes” being constructed is the “reclaiming” of history for marginalized groups.

For example, it’s not uncommon for SJW twitter to claim that women invented software engineering and got us to the moon. Sometimes even just one woman, Margaret Hamilton [1]. See this tweet by Neil De Grass Tyson claiming women alone did all the “calculations” that got us to the moon, which seems like a hazy way to say all the real work [2]

Yet when you read the actual accounts of what happened. It was many teams of men and women (according to the Wired article, 400+ people in all) who did the work. At that scale it couldn’t have been otherwise. You can even read the account of Don Eyles, a male software engineer who worked on the lunar lander with Margaret, about some of the issues encountered [3]. You can see a photo of his all male team at the bottom.

I stumbled upon this bizarre rewriting recently, and was struck by how severely Margaret Hamilton’s accomplishments have been inflated to push the progressive cause.

Theres some neo nazis that do a great job of debunking a lot of the claims you read but cant be bothered to research.

The self in question is the Christian self and to preserve the Christian self entails the preservation of thy neighbor. As the fat version of Borat, Slavoj Zizek, put it: “In the electoral campaign, President Bush named as the most important person in his life Jesus. Now he has a unique chance to prove that he meant it seriously: for him, as for all Americans today, “Love thy neighbor!“ means “Love the Muslims!” OR IT MEANS NOTHING AT ALL.”

Darn, I sure am glad I’m not a Christian & don’t have to love Muslims. Because they suck. When Christianity is Universal then sensible people don’t want to be Christian.

    Dick Wagner Reply:

Too bad the arch-synonym of ‘sensible’ is ‘progressive’.

Good thing Žižek is just a failed Marxist, and not a Church Father. Quote from a Church Father goes like this Love your (personal) enemy, loathe the enemies of Christ, destroy the enemies of the Christendom.

    [Reply]

    Dick Wagner Reply:

Mr. Rothblatt, your use of parentheses around “personal” is telling. There is an ambiguity in the message of Christ. The fundamental problem with the logic of the parable of Jesus’s crucifixion is that if Jesus represents “pure love”, eventually the telos of that concept “blossoms” into love even for those who crucified him. When one loves, one hates; pure love is impossible. Either we need a new Society-Determining Parable or we need to re-interpret Christ’s enemies *as enemies*. What has happened with the West is it has loved too much, and like anything else in excess, love too is a vice. And vice is a kind of hate.

Jesus Christ as he is popularly conceived, subconsciously and otherwise, is a contradiction in terms. Jesus Christ HATED those who did not love. If love is the ideal, love shows no love to hate. There is much hate in the world and consequently one must love to hate what hates love.

My question for you is – did the pagans have this problem? If not, why not? And if you believe Christianity is legitimate progress from paganism did Christianity leave something essential behind? I don’t understand Christian purism, there is nothing perfect about Christianity in its ideal form. Why can’t it be supplemented by alien paganism?

@ There is a fundamental failure to think among nationalists – failure to acknowledge that everything they hate the most is on fact white, European and Christian and that nationalism itself is modernist, semi-communist, based on pseudohistory and deliberately ignoring the aforementioned facts. Blaming the Yiddish MuhDegeneracy for undermining a unity that never existed. There is no ‘national interest’ or ‘collective good’. Every ruling class exists for us self defined interests, and all values are the values of subjective individuals. Reactionary and Stormfags priorities no less than any other. They’re uncomfortable with existential doubt and uncertainty so they make up fake authorities. Their revolt against individualism is not driven by a criticism of atomism and relativism, which are almost entirely straw men that no communist or capitalist ever seriously advocated, but by angst over the fact of individualism and a desire to dissolve their failed lives into a mad that gives an illusion of meaning to what are objectively absurd and aimless historical accidents.
Frankly, I have no investment in Western civilization, nothing to lose, and compete contempt for the ‘normie’ breeder. In sick of all these religious gaytards and their masses.

Could you be any more of a salty frustrated sperg? Its really quite amazing how you can fill comment threads here with confessional bloviation that is simultaneously both bombastic and inane. Perhaps you should follow the internal logic of your own selectively deployed passivist rhetoric and refrain from subjecting us to your public cries for help all together.

By all means, dont reproduce. People like you are evolutionary dead ends. One can hardly imagine a surer sign that a diseased system has incurred the wrath of gnon than if its exponents lack even basic instincts of self-expansion or self-identification.

Let those who find existence so burdensome and impenetrable, by all means, commit suicide. Hopefully sooner rather than later, that they might spare their fellows further exposure to the radiation of their malformed psyches.

May you be replaced by those who are more worthy.

“just by asking what the ‘self’ in question is, we’re getting somewhere.”

    Especially if there isn’t one.
After all there isn’t anything that can be identified as a personnel self –

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3g0fJBVCXB0

“The fact that I can see, know, or feel my ‘self’ shows me conclusively that this ‘self’ cannot be my real self at all. It’s a false self, a pseudo-self, an illusion and a hoax. We have inadvertently identified with a complex of objects, all of which we know or can know. Therefore, this complex of knowable objects cannot be the true knower or real Self. We have identified ourselves with our body, mind, and personality, imagining these objects to constitute our real ‘self,’ and we then spend our entire lives trying to defend, protect, and prolong what is just an illusion.
We are the victims of an epidemic case of mistaken identity.
My mind, my body, my thoughts, my desires – these are no more my real Self than the trees, the stars, and the mountains, for I can witness all of them as objects, with equal felicity. Proceeding in this fashion, I become transparent to my Self, and realize that in some sense what I am goes much, much beyond this isolated, skin-bound organism.

I have interest in maximizing the rate of technological progress though, as that is the only thing that could lead to technology sufficiently powerful to scan the contents of human brains in our lifetimes, and thereby allow at least some of us to escape death.

Technological progress is directly dependent on human cognitive capacity, and can easily be disturbed or destroyed by stupid migration policies.

    R. J. Moore II Reply:

Since neither of us has control over the masses or the elites, and this will happen or not regardless, it really doesn’t matter. As I indicated above coordination problems make mass politics and activism a waste of time. Trying to get move somewhere you like, and get what you can, is useful. Participation in what amounts to religious signaling is not. There is no “solution”, literally nothing you do can have any predictable advantageous effects on mass society. The unwillingness to face the futility and irrelevance of ‘activism’ is a mental pathology, not a strategy.

“The problem with white nationalism as a military or political strategy (of course there is no line between the two – if your goal is to capture the government, your goal is to capture the government) is that however much it may manage to fire up the OVs, it fires up the Brahmins ten times as much. Since the latter are the ruling class and hold the whip hand, white nationalism remains a losing strategy. Ouch! Taste the pain, kids.” – Mencius Moldbug

It seems with the rise of Trump, MM’s prediction is off. The Brahmins have not been fired up ten times as much, it would appear the two rough representatives of progressivism and white nationalism are neck and neck. D’oh.

@Dick Wagner Trump is a Brahman. He is not an alternative to the oligarchy, rather he is tapping into an older, falling oligarchy that’s been displaced by the New Class (media, tech, trade) liberals who largely replaced the older MacNamera class of managerial bureaucrats. He represents a struggle within the oligarchy, been old and new. In that sense, Trump is a conservative.

“In Turin on 3rd January, 1889, Friedrich Nietzsche steps out of the doorway of number six, Via Carlo Alberto. Not far from him, the driver of a hansom cab is having trouble with a stubborn horse.

Despite all his urging, the horse refuses to move, whereupon the driver loses his patience and takes his whip to it. Nietzsche comes up to the throng and puts an end to the brutal scene, throwing his arms around the horse’s neck, sobbing.

His landlord takes him home, he lies motionless and silent for two days on a divan until he mutters the obligatory last words, ‘Mutter, ich bin dumm!’ (‘Mother, I am stupid!’) and lives for another ten years, silent and demented, cared for by his mother and sisters. We do not know what happened to the horse.”

(These are Béla Tarr’s introductory words at the beginning of his film, The Turin Horse)
